Shifting Seasons Group Exhibition | Closing Reception (2025) Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL)
The Event: In December 2025, Wisdom Born Designs concluded its participation in Visual Voices, a group exhibition curated by Alex Z at the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning. Originally scheduled to run through November, the exhibition was extended to December 5th due to high community interest, providing a vital platform for dialogue on transformation and resilience.
Featured Works: Two original pieces from our collections were highlighted, showcasing the power of Primal Elemental Abstraction to channel ancestral energy into contemporary form:
- Floral Blaze & Coral Currents (from Abstract in Color: Voices on Canvas 2025)
- Theme: Waves of emotion exploring fluidity and renewal.
- Shadow Dance & Rhythm of Shadows (from Art Is Life 2024)
- Theme: The interplay of light and dark as metaphors for historical memory.
Impact: These works served as a focal point for community discussion, bridging the gap between abstract expression and the lived experiences of the Jamaica and Bronx communities. The extended engagement allowed community members and visitors to experience Primal Elemental Abstraction as a visual language of survival and joy.

Abstract in Color: Voices on Canvas | Solo Art Exhibition CTM Bohemian Nights | 2025 (Curated by Benu Ma’at, Principal Artist at Wisdom Born Designs
The Event: Wisdom Born Designs presented Abstract in Color: Voices on Canvas, a solo showcase exploring Primal Elemental Abstraction and its power to merge raw natural forces with contemporary visual language. Curated and led by Benu Ma’at, the exhibition featured original pieces that channel the elemental principles of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air as metaphors for resilience, transformation, and cultural continuity.
Beyond the Gallery: Following the exhibit, Benu facilitated an Artist Talk Session, opening dialogue between creator and community. Topics included:
- The creative process behind PEA methodology
- Artistic philosophy rooted in Black Historical Continuity
- The vital role of cultural representation in today’s art world
Impact: This solo presentation served as both artistic expression and community education – demonstrating how abstract art can serve as a vessel for ancestral memory and social advocacy. The Artist Talk extended the conversation beyond aesthetics, inviting attendees to engage with art as a living process of healing and truth-telling. diving deep into her creative process, artistic philosophy, and the vital role of cultural representation in today’s art world.

Shifting Seasons Group Exhibition Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL) | 2025
The Event: Wisdom Born Designs participated in Shifting Seasons, a group exhibition presented as part of JCAL’s Visual Voices program. The showcase explored transitions in nature, emotion, and identity through contemporary visual art, bringing together diverse voices to examine how change manifests in our communities.
Featured Works: Benu Ma’at presented four original pieces from two signature collections, utilizing Primal Elemental Abstraction to translate inner states into visual form:
- From Abstract in Color: Voices on Canvas 2025:
- Waves of Emotion: A fluid exploration of inner tides and emotional resilience.
- Floral Blaze: A vibrant burst of color symbolizing growth, fire, and renewal.

Planetary Realms Group Exhibition Brooklyn Art Cave | September 26–28, 2025
The Event: Benu Ma’at, Creative Director and creator of Primal Elemental Abstraction, participated in Planetary Realms, a group exhibition at Brooklyn Art Cave. The showcase brought together contemporary artists exploring cosmic themes, celestial forces, and the connections between terrestrial identity and universal energy.
Featured Work: Cosmic Echoes – from the Abstract in Color: Voices on Canvas 2025 Collection A mesmerizing composition channeling the vastness of cosmic memory through the lens of Primal Elemental Abstraction. The piece translates celestial rhythm into bold color and organic form, inviting viewers to consider how ancestral memory reverberates across space and time.
Impact: This exhibition placed Wisdom Born Designs within a broader conversation about the intersection of Black cultural continuity and cosmic futurism – demonstrating how PEA methodology bridges ancestral grounding and Afrofuturistic vision.

4th Annual “Where We From” Group Exhibition Brooklyn Art Cave | August 1–3, 2025
The Event: Wisdom Born Designs participated in the 4th Annual Where We From, a group exhibition celebrating Black identity, heritage, and creative lineage at Brooklyn Art Cave. The event brought together artists dedicated to reclaiming narratives and centering community voices in contemporary discourse.
Featured Works: This exhibition marked the public debut of select pieces from the Abstract in Color: Voices on Canvas 2025 Collection.
- Collection Debut: These works represented the first public showing of the new Primal Elemental Abstraction series, signaling an evolution in exploring elemental forces and cultural continuity through bold abstraction.
- Themes: The pieces explored the intersection of “where we come from” (ancestral roots) and “where we are going” (Afrofuturist vision).
Impact: Introducing the 2025 collection to this platform reinforced the vital role of art in defining identity. The debut allowed Benu Ma’at to test how audiences engaged with the newest iterations of Primal Elemental Abstraction, receiving immediate feedback that would shape future creations.
